You might be curious about me as a person and why I choose to be a social worker here to support you.
Prior to getting my social work degree and getting registered, I was a single mother with a young child in another province. I was also raised by a single mother.
I knew the hardships my mother endured to provide for my sibling and me. We are grateful for the sacrifices she made.
These experiences shaped my worldview to see that being human is a whole-hearted, messy affair full of unlearning and remembering.
I have been fortunate to meet pathfinders along the way who have supported me in rediscovering what I know and feel deeply about myself to find balance in connecting with the world around me.
This is why I chose to earn an education, train and learn skills to offer the same for others. And while I have a degree, certifications and several trainings under my belt, I learn mostly from my own mistakes, successes, clients, friends, family, and community members.
